Before anyone jumps on me for improper grammar for the title of my blog, just know that it is a play on the famous internet meme "All your base are belong to us", which is a line from a video game with such bad grammar that it stuck with gamers later in gaming history. Feel free to Google about it or look it up on Youtube, but I was merely using it as a reflection on how all our work for this class is finally coming together, on our blog list here as well as on LiveText. There was a lot of work and it kept us on our toes, but it was worth it in my opinion as we have learned a lot.
Looking back on how the class was run, I can see the connection to the Transactional Theory that we had to write a paper on. It is very interesting to have seen it work, giving me much insight on how I could use it myself in my class, especially since my field is Literature.
Anyway, I am putting together my professional development submission, but I do not have access to a scanner so I am wondering if a mere picture of the documentation of proof is feasible. Did anyone else use this method? I hope it will do.
In this course, educators will learn how to support the needs of adolescent and young adults, helping them develop into confident, and independent readers and writers. Focus will be on the improvement of literacy skills through meaningful, constructive engagements in reading and writing.
I am still trying to remember it what game it came from...LOL...I remember that is a code for one of those computer games. I know I played it before. But now with school, no more play time.
ReplyDeleteRand,
ReplyDeleteIndeed, the Transactional Theory is powerful! I'm glad that you've increased your schema on the various literacy strategies/activities that were introduced. Don't worry, I will accept the pictures in lieu of the scanned documentation.

Dr. Rivera
Thanks, Doc! But, wouldn't you know it? After I posted this blog, I was taking pictures of the documents and my incredibly competent wife comes over and pretty much slaps me on the back of my head. She scans the document on her printer, puts it on my desktop, and leaves me blinking in disbelief. What would I do without her?
ReplyDeleteRand,
ReplyDeleteYou're most welcome! I'm glad that your wife was able to assist you.
