About July 9, I can explain...

I've been a bit busy (is an understatement!!!).  Well, what can I say? I was a bit confused about what I was supposed to blog and exactly, by when.  I think I understand it a little better now: try to complete posting in the forums by the assigned date.  After the forums and reading the powerpoints and documents attached to enhance our learning in this class, I plan to blog and reflect on what I thought and how I worked everything into my 28 hour day.

I enjoyed the literacy autobiographies, everyone!  It was comforting to know that I share some very similar stories (no pun intended) with a lot of you.  I loved reading about how each of you learned to read, realized you either disliked it, immediately fell in love with it, and how you are now figuring out how to use it to teach.  And writing: my, but so many of you should write for a living!!!

Cohort 5 is busy working on our interdisciplinary unit and we have been braining up a storm.  Haha. Since we have started our classes together, I remain encouraged and motivated by the energy possessed by this group.  I am learning by leaps and bounds, and gaining new friends in the process.  I am partial to Cohort 5 but I must say, getting to know the "older" cohorts has been fun.  We are benefitting from the wisdom all of you have collected from each of your semesters.  I look forward to working with you perhaps on a professional development project? That forum has some great ideas going and my favorite has been to have our own local literacy event.

Today, I thank the good fortune that allowed me to sit and work hard on ED 641.  Thanks for your Moodle and Blog posts for keeping me engaged and entertained the whole way.

  2. I can only imagine what you will contribute to our "Moodling-101 Plus Blogging" session, as well as to our Interdisciplinary Unit planning. I'm curious to know how literature circles can work into your area of science, too. Oh, the fun that awaits, huh??
