I must admit that the rain has been keeping this summer pretty cool. I have not gone to the beach for almost a month now, or have done anything active outdoors because of this new extension of my fingers, called the keyboards. My eyesight is going bad, from a 20/20 to a one oustretched- arm -length vision. I've learned to speed read, and speed write in class because powerpoint presentations waits for no man or woman.
I enjoyed looking at everyone's graffiti board, impressed with the different artisic expressions, and wordings. It's encouraging to see everyone getting along, having a good time, then returning home to reignite the love/hate realtionship with their computer. I almost dumped my computer when it froze on me earlier this week. But I realized how much I needed it in my life right now.
I'm expecting to pay the heavy price of free higher education this coming week as the workload due dates start approaching, oh so, closely. Thanks to my Cohort for being such a cool and smart group. I enjoy the times when we just sit and talk about life, our job, and our desire to be more than just a good teacher.
I love how you describe your relationship with your computer. We surely have something in common! I think we all should be experts in teaching students how to put together and take advantage of Power point presentations by the end of this summer!
