Good afternoon cyber classmates! I really feel out of my element here, since I don't spend a lot of time communicating through the computer. I prefer being hi-touch rather than hi-tech, but rest assured that I won't allow myself to fall far behind-on technology, not my assginments.
I have to say that last session was tough on my poor laptop which suffered enormously after contracting an insiduous virus that implanted itself on my system. So I now have to resort to using the library's state-of the art system that's out in the great wide open, instead of the comfort of my dining table turned executive office desk. I look forward to this session, and other unforseeable occurrences that will probably add challenge, but will add a little more life into my learning experiences.
In this course, educators will learn how to support the needs of adolescent and young adults, helping them develop into confident, and independent readers and writers. Focus will be on the improvement of literacy skills through meaningful, constructive engagements in reading and writing.
I can't believe how far we've come with all these technological advances! It is kind of a scary thought rely so heavily on it that "what if". What if my computer crashes, what if I get a virus, what if someone get access to my stuff... But on the positive note, once you familiarize yourself with the day to day uses and advantages, it makes life so convenient!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your position, but remember...with constant usage comes familiarity and then before you know it...we're almost experts. It's just so incredible how technology has broadened our horizons in regards to communication. Blogs, Livetext, Moodle, and tons of other communication tools just waiting to be used. This will definitely be challenging.
