Interdisciplinary Unit Reflection

I am so glad our team was able to complete the lesson plan drafts.  I had to research statistics on the War in the Pacific to use on my lesson plans.  I felt relief when I had completed this assignment for the draft.  I hope only minor corrections will be needed for the final draft.  I can't wait to see the draft.

  1. I know how you feel. I think I was thinking too big for my britches when I planned out my section of the Interdisciplinary Unit. I found my work load to be very heavy as I put everything together, and I don't have anyone to blame but myself for that. Well, at least it is done.

  2. I was wondering if mine was a bit over the top for a 10 day lesson! And I am sure, in the actual classroom, things sometimes take more time than what's been allotted. I am sure we will all find out more once we get feedback.

  3. I was told and taught to overplan, overplan, overplan, because it's better to have not enough time to do something, than be stuck with everything done, and having to think up something on the fly. I would rather have my kids working hard than having wasteful free time.

Worst case scenario,.. we extend our two week into three. As long as their learning is fine by me. *tee*hee* rhyme.

  4. I agree with S.Estoy. It's definitely better to be prepared than to have to think of things on the fly. Students are very perceptive and can identify chinks in your armor with amazing acccuracy.
