Is it me or.....?

Happy Summer Session C!  Thank you Dr. Rivera for the warm welcome and for the ticket to learn something new.  As I am browsing our class syllabus (repeatedly), the image I have posted here is all that comes to mind.  Elephant in the room:  What did I get myself into??  That image would be followed by one of myself in my best caricature, sprawled on the floor, kicking and screaming, the tears falling like Niagara.  And then suddenly, I remember where I am and whose company I am in.  I am among a fierce, invincible, ready-for-anything, food-toting crew and just like with our four previous elephants, we will be fine.  Onward and forward!

I found that if I browse through the previous ED641 blog, I can gain a whole lot of perspective in a few minutes.  It is testimony of the learning that can occur in a little over a month by many like us who worked hard, read, wrote and shared.  May the pinks and reds in the little elephant room be signs of rosy times ahead...please?

  2. I think it's more of a herd of elephants! At first the syllabus seems daunting, but I think if we keep our eye on the prize (or is it eyes on the prizes) the syllabus seems to get a little better. Baby steps but always pushing forward.

  4. At first glance, I too felt a pang in my stomach, but it soon faded, with the help of my sister. I am looking forward to the upcoming assignments, now that I figured out how to post my first blog. Hang in there!

  5. Melissa...I am SO glad to see you post here, my fellow-laughing-cohort!! I cannot figure out HOW to post my own comment after having read all the others, am almost in tears as to the amount of work (which is most unlike me, the head-down-move-forward-goal-oriented-achiever that I am. I have always been a reader, yet with the Lit/grammar praxis prep classes, in addition to the other classes.... I am sure there is a way to overcome the overwhelm...
So, WHERE is the post a new comment button that PJ mentioned??
