Moodle! I hope that isn't taken with offense by anyone. It's just exactly how I feel after spending a lot, a lot of time today catching up. That being said, this has been my most productive day thus far. I read and wrote to my heart's necessity! I had the most fun today reviewing all the literacy strategies one can use in the classroom. The graffiti board and journaling ones are going to be so useful to me, as a teacher. I feel I can definitely introduce these to induce learning in the classroom. I also peeked at Poems for Two Voices and fell in love! A whole lesson plan buzzed through my head while I was surfing the web on this topic. Can't wait to hear what you guys think of all these cool "gadgets".
A minor frustration moment: I didn't understand readily if the Literacy Autobiography was expected to be longer, different, or simply the same as our Moodle posting. Thank you, Dr. Rivera, for responding so quickly to panic-stricken email. I am so glad a bunch of us are meeting on Thursday to go over some of these intricacies. Coffee and good company never hurt anyone. Here's to us becoming more adept at the Moodle and Blog, but most of all, to providing each other with constructive criticism and input we can all use. Good night--Melissa:)
In this course, educators will learn how to support the needs of adolescent and young adults, helping them develop into confident, and independent readers and writers. Focus will be on the improvement of literacy skills through meaningful, constructive engagements in reading and writing.
You're most welcome, Melissa! I'm glad that you found much delight in the literacy activities. Your students will certainly be captivated with the Poems for Two Voices, graffiti board, and more! Good luck in your meeting!

I love your title. :) I certainly feel like I should get a Master's in Moodle and Blogger. :) I also got some great ideas from reviewing the Graffiti Boards and the Interdisciplinary Unit powerpoint.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, you are always an inspiration and a source of joy to me! I anticipate more fun with you tomorrow eve. Glad you have the creative ideas brewing and popping!
