Interdisciplinary Unit
I definitely have some research to do. I want to look at the staples that Japanese poor had in Hawaii during this time. In the book such foods mentioned: seaweed, musubi, salted plum, shoyu ahu, baked egg (tamago), pigeon. The lifestyle - gambling, japanese theatre. I would need to take a look at their health challenges etc...this will be interesting.

aaaaahhh,.. Food from the Asia Pacific Rim. It's glorious. Before you start your research, I'd suggest you eat beforehand. You might salivate all over your findings.
ReplyDeleteJessica, I have a question. I have been posting, but without a title. How do you make the fancy title above your post, complete with hyperlink? Thank you.
I'm guessing your content area is Health. That's a great angle to use to incorporate the book into your lesson!
