Hello fellow cohorts,
I did not know that I was also supposed to post my reflections here too. Anyway, thanks for reminding me. Am I on the right track now?
As for the book, I have already finished it. It has been a touching book and it shows the life of the Japanese American people in Hawaii back in 1941. I felt bad about how innocent people were mistreated during World War II. I did understand from the American's point of view, but I did not believe this was the right way to deal with it.
As for the Interdisciplinary Unit, I am excited to get started on it and see how it works out in the end. I already have ideas for my activity. In the story, there was a part where Mose and Rico, Tomi's friends, were asked what topic will they be doing for the science fair and answered "vollacanos" (volcanoes). There it hit me! Why not do volcanoes? The setting of the story has been practically created by volcanoes. Also, I wanted to bring back the baking soda volcano. It rather amuses me to how in every science fair, you'll always find the classical baking soda volcano project.
In this course, educators will learn how to support the needs of adolescent and young adults, helping them develop into confident, and independent readers and writers. Focus will be on the improvement of literacy skills through meaningful, constructive engagements in reading and writing.
Robito,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first posting! Please refer to the ED641 Calendar of Events and Moodleroom activities regarding the required class blog postings. Also, please note that the Moodleroom focuses on specific topics, where as the ED641 class blog/learning log (Activity 10) focuses on a more holistic reflection of the overall Moodleroom activities, online collaboration/expression pertaining to class requirements, strengthening of writing skills, and other class ideas beyond the Moodleroom activities, 24-7. Don't forget to also respond to your 4-5 of your classmates' entries. Good luck!
Best regards,
Dr. Rivera
Yaye you made it Robito! I'm glad you finally figured it out. I think your comfort level with blogging will increase as the class progresses. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never. I really had a big-time problem introducing myself into blog posting.
ReplyDeleteDr. Rivera,
Do I have to repost everything that I missed here even if it is already late? For example the July 5 and 9 reflection?
Thanks PJ! I really needed that!
Robito,
ReplyDeleteStart blogging from this day on, and you'll be okay. Good luck!
Best regards,
Dr. Rivera
